Sheffield Wednesday move for Celtic's Riordan

Celtic are ready to listen to offers for striker Derek Riordan.

The Daily Record says Owls boss Brian Laws is ready to offer £400,000 for the striker who was bought from Hibs for just £150,000 18 months ago.

Despite Hoops boss Gordon Strachan insisting Riordan could be the most natural finisher at his disposal, the player has played a peripheral role since arriving in Glasgow. With Laws determined to strengthen his attacking options for this season's Championship campaign it looks likely a move south for Riordan would suit both clubs.
