Sheffield Wednesday have secured the services of on-loan Chelsea striker Ben Sahar for a further month.

The Israel international initially signed for the Yorkshire club on a one-month loan from Crystal Palace in February but will now extend his stay until April 19.

The 19-year-old has played three times for the Owls who currently lie in the final relegation spot in the Championship, just one point from safety.

Wednesday boss Brian Laws told the club's official website: "I'm delighted Ben has agreed to stay for a second month. He's not figured much as yet because of injury and then illness.

"But he's hungry to play, he wants to prove himself here and hopefully he will do that."
