Wolves defender Danny Batth is a loan target for Sheffield Wednesday.
Owls chairman Milan Mandaric and chief executive Paul Aldridge are in talks with Wolves over signing the 20-year-old, who had an impressive loan spell at Hillsborough last season, says the Express & Star.
But it looks unlikely he will be drafted in before pre-season training tomorrow and the deal is expected to be a loan switch.
"We're in touch but everything is moving slowly," said Mandaric. "It's frustrating but sometimes these things take time."
