Sheffield United have signed Ugo Ehiogu on a free transfer after Rangers allowed the former England defender to leave Ibrox.

The 35-year-old centre-back has agreed an 18-month contract with the Blades and teams up with boss Bryan Robson for a second time.

Robson had previously signed Ehiogu for a then club record fee of £8million at Middlesbrough in 2000.
