Sheffield United remain hopeful of re-signing Tottenham fullback Kyle Walker.

The Mirror says Walker was recalled from his loan spell with the Blades just 15 minutes before the transfer window closed earlier this month.

But with United suffering an injury crisis boss Kevin Blackwell wants to bring the teenager back for the rest of the season.

Walker was originally meant to be on loan at Bramall Lane for the whole campaign as part of the deal that took him and team-mate Kyle Naughton to Spurs last summer.
