Sheffield United have extended Reading defender John Halls' loan spell until the end of the season.

Halls has found himself out of the first-team picture at the Madejski Stadium this season and completed loan stints at Preston and Crystal Palace before joining the Blades.

He will remain with United until after the Championship play-offs just in case Kevin Blackwell's side snatch a place in the top six.
