Sheffield United are chasing Sunderland fullback Phil Bardsley.

The Daily Mail says the former Manchester United right-back is out-of-favour at the Stadium of Light and Kevin Blackwell is ready to pounce.

United boss Blackwell is determined to complete an overhaul of his squad at the end of the campaign and believes Bardsley can help bolster his side's promotion push next term.
