Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough is delighted with their swoop for Ilkeston striker Che Adams.
The youngster has taken the Evo-Stik Premier Division by storm since breaking into the Robins first team last season and has been prolific this term too.
The Leicester-born marksman has progressed through the youth system at the New Manor Ground and his whole hearted displays, in addition to his goals, quickly saw him become a fans' favourite with the Ilkeston faithful, as well as attracting numerous scouts from professional clubs.
Speaking of the addition of Adams, Blades boss Nigel Clough commented: "We have had an eye on Che for a while, we have been aware of the interest in him from elsewhere and we have managed to beat off competition from Clubs in leagues above us to secure his signature.
"The fact we have given young players a chance since we took over here has convinced Che that he will get a fair chance to impress.
"He has joined in with the first-team straight away and he hasn't looked out of place, but it is a big step up for him and it will take him time to adjust.
"He is certainly one to develop, it may even take until the start of next season for him to feel totally at home, but we are looking forward to working with him in the meantime."
