Sheffield United want Tottenham's Walker back on loan

Championship club Sheffield United are keen to bring Tottenham defender Kyle Walker back to the club on loan.

The 19-year old enjoyed a stint at Bramall Lane prior to the January transfer window when Spurs called him back but now the Blades want him again because of a massive injury problem at the club.

Blades assistant boss Sam Ellis, however, admitted that Tottenham may want to keep Walker at their disposal as they injury problems of their own.

"We have tried with no luck so far, so it looks as if we will have to muddle through with what we have," Ellis told the club's official website.

"There have been no new talks about that because Kyle has been on the bench for Tottenham and they have injuries of their own to cover, too.

"If he does play and plays well there will be no reason why Spurs would let him out anyway, of course, and the decision will be made by Spurs because he is their player."
