Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert is believed to be showing interest in Sheffield United's Matthew Lowton.
The 23-year old full-back has emerged on the radar of Villa after producing a stellar season for the Blades last term.
It is apparent that Lambert is looking to strengthen his defence and may go after Lowton despite him having two years remaining on his contract with United who failed to gain promotion to the Championship last season.
