ChampionshipSheffield Wednesday and League OneSheffield United have both agreed shirt sponsorship deals with telecommunications company GCI Com, reports SportsPro. The GCI Com logo will appear on the back of both teams' home and away shirts and also on Wednesday's playing shorts.
"Sheffield Wednesday has enjoyed a warm association with GCI Com for some time and this partnership is the next stage of our development with a company at the forefront of the telecommunications business," said Sheffield Wednesday commercial director Andy Daykin.
Steve Coakley, commercial director of Sheffield United, added: "It is not the first time that both Sheffield's professional clubs have worked together to secure a mutual sponsor and we are delighted we can do likewise with GCI Com.
