Everton U18 coach Kevin Sheedy was delighted with their 3-0 rout of Manchester United.
The young Blues stunned the Red Devils at Carrington with goals from Ryan Ledson, George Waring and Callum Dyson.
Sheedy told evertonfc.com: "I think the scoreline was a fair reflection of the game. They had good possession but didn't really hurt us.
"Our goalkeeper only had one save of note to make. It was a true team performance. We limited them to very few opportunities, won the headers and put in the tackles.
"George Waring made a few good defensive headers to cut out dangerous balls and people were chasing all over the place to get the ball back.
"Duncan [Ferguson] and myself were really pleased with the performance. Sometimes you can't play as well as you'd like, but today was a different kind of performance.
"They dug in so full credit to them. We were absolutely delighted with them afterwards."
