Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer slammed Everton striker Richarlison over his red card in yesterday's 2-2 draw at Bournemouth.

The Brazilian headbutted Adam Smith just four minutes before half-time and will now miss Everton's next three matches with a ban.

"Madness, crazy, pathetic. Whatever you want to call it," Shearer said of the incident.

“After the start he's had in the Everton shirt - three goals in two games - now to miss the next three because of something as petty and stupid as that, it's crazy.

“He can have no complaints.

“You know when you put your head into someone else's your're going to get a red."
