Former Newcastle United boss Alan Shearer is open to taking the job at Blackburn Rovers.
Shearer is considering a return to management with Blackburn Rovers, the club with whom he won the Premier League title in 1995, says the Daily Mirror.
He is so keen on this latest opportunity that Iain Dowie, his No 2 at Newcastle, and one-time strike partner Mike Newell have already been sounded out about joining the backroom team.
