Shea living the dream with FC Dallas

College Station native Brek Shea is living the dream playing for FC Dallas.

The 20-year old former Bryan High School star has become a regular first team player in MLS and admits he feels lucky every day.

"Every kid that plays soccer, wishes they could do this for a living," Shea told kbtx.com.

"My first appearance with FC Dallas was against the LA Galaxy. I got to play against David Beckham and that was pretty cool."

Shea's talent did not go unnoticed when he was at high school with Bryan High coach Tommie Allmon identifying him as a star of the future.

"In all my time here, I think we've played maybe 3 or 4 freshman on the varsity. He was exceptional by all means," Allmon said.

Shea's father, Dr Charles Shea, admitted he was very proud of his son for what he had achieved so far.

"I guess you can imagine, we're quite proud of him. We have a map at home that shows all the places he has played and it really is pretty amazing, how many pins are on that map of the world," Dr Shea said.
