Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross wants to make history with a top ten finish.

Centre-back and skipper Shawcross is confident of sealing their best top-flight finish since 1975.

He said: "It's wonderful that we have beaten Liverpool and Tottenham and drawn against Chelsea, the two Manchester clubs and now Arsenal here at the Britannia.

"Now we want a top-10 finish in the Premier League.

"It was snatched from our grasp on the final day of last season. So that makes us doubly determined to achieve that this time."
