Shawcross: Stoke determined to become top seven club

Stoke City are looking to finish as high as they possibly can this season according to Ryan Shawcross.

The Potters currently sit eighth on the Premier League table and will use the final 10 fixtures to force their way into the usually cemented top seven says the returning captain.

You've always got to aim high," he told the Stoke Sentinel.

"We are eighth, so we've got to aim for seventh.

"You can't stand still in football. It's difficult because the top seven are usually set in stone, but that won't stop us trying."

Stoke head to The Hawthorns to take on 13th-placed West Bromwich Albion this weekend.
