Ryan Shawcross has signed his new Stoke City contract to 2014.
The 22-year-old completed the four-and-a-half year deal yesterday following discussions between the club and his agent.
The central defender has been tipped for England call up - and manager Tony Pulis believes the youngster could even force his way into Fabio Capello's squad for the World Cup finals next summer.
Shawcross has blossomed since he joined Stoke from Manchester United in 2008 in a £1m move which will rise to £2m after appearances.
