Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross admits new manager Mark Hughes is changing their style of play.

Hughes confirmed Shawcross as his skipper last week.

"Obviously it's a different manager and different styles," he said, "and the new manager's style is to get the ball down a bit more, keep the ball, circulate the ball and try to create some angles to get forward to score goals.

"But the main thing is to try and win games."
