Xherdan Shaqiri is hoping to guide Stoke City to European football next season.
Stoke City pulled off arguably one of the biggest transfers in their history by securing the services of Shaqiri from Inter Milan for a club record fee of around £12million on Tuesday.
"For sure, for me I want to play in Europe and I think we have the quality to go there," he told the club's official website.
"Stoke have taken some very good players and at this moment you can see the club is growing every year and this was important for me to play in a team with quality and Stoke City has some very good players. I'm sure that we will have a good season, play some good football and show the fans good football."
