Shaqiri says more to come from new Stoke teammate Bauer

Stoke City midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri has hailed the early impact of new teammate Moritz Bauer.

It's coming up to six years since the pair, both 26, played against each other for Basel and Grasshoppers Zurich respectively … and Shaqiri reckons there's more to come from the new addition.

He said: “I know Moritz from Switzerland. I hope you can see on the pitch that we'll play well together. I thought he played very well at Old Trafford and again last weekend.

“I hope he can continue like he's doing. Of course he needs also time to settle into this league because the Premier League is totally different from Russia or Switzerland. Everyone needs games to get really in their stride and to improve.

“He's doing very well and I'm really happy to have him in our team."
