Shankland departs Queen's Park for Aberdeen

Aberdeen has secured the services of Lawrence Shankland from Queen's Park.

The 17-year old forward has joined the SPL club after scoring 11 goals in the Third Division last season and Dons boss Derek McInnes is excited about his prospects.

"I'm delighted to have secured Lawrence. We feel he is an excellent acquisition," he said.

"He will now gain the benefit of training full time and will play regularly at U20 level with a view to forcing his way in to the first team."
