Shanghai SIPG are set to sign Zenit St. Petersburg star Hulk for a fee of around £41million, according to reports from Russian daily Sport Express.

The Chinese Super League will be welcoming another high profile name in the form of Hulk after Shanghai agreed a fee which would become the Asian record transfer to secure the services of the Brazilian international from Zenit.

Speaking to Sport Express regarding the transfer, Zenit's press officer Dmitri Zimmerman said: "Zenit have reached a preliminary agreement with Shanghai SIPG concerning the transfer of Hulk, and on Wednesday the player will undergo a medical.

"Zenit will receive around 56 million euros, while a further 2 million euros could be added to the total price."

The fee will surpass the £38m Jiangsu Suning paid Shakhtar Donetsk for Alex Teixeira in February.
