Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua are now targeting Argentine veteran Juan Roman Riquelme.
The 34-year old Boca Juniors midfielder has emerged as a target for a handful of clubs including Shanghai who are keen to partner him with recent signing Didier Drogba.
Reports suggest Shenhua have already tabled a bid, along with clubs from Saudi Arabia, Argentina and Brazil, but all clubs interested will have to stump up the remainder of his contract to Boca.
The fee for Riquelme's deal which runs until 2014 is believed to be around 4.08million making it a very expensive purchase but nevertheless the interest for the former Barcelona and Villarreal man is certainly there.
