Watford have received an offer for Stefano Okaka from Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua.

Shenhua, who are managed by former Chelsea midfielder Gus Poyet, have put forward a £12m bid for the Italian striker.

The 27-year old arrived at Vicerage Road from Anderlecht last summer.

But the season proved difficult for him, making just 10 starts under Walter Mazzarri.

Poyet is keen on finding other striking options, with his big money acquisition, Carlos Tevez, struggling to find form in his new surroundings.
