Shanghai Shenhua jump to top of Chinese Super League table

Shanghai Shenhua jumped to the top of the Chinese Super League table after a 2-2 draw with Liaoning Hongyun on the weekend.

Shanghai are now a point clear of the undefeated Shandong Luneng who have a game in hand and it was all thanks to Cameroon striker Jean Michel N'Lend who scored twice, once in each half, to cancel out Yu Hanchao's brace for Liaoning.

Elsewhere in China, Hangzhou Lucheng defeated Dalian Shide 1-0 at home, Henan Jianye were served well by a Leandro Netto double as they beat Changchun Yatai at home 3-2, Tianjin Teda and Chongqing Lifan drew 1-1, Nanchang Bayi sent Shaanxi Chanba to the bottom of the table with a 3-0 away win, Qingdao Jonoon came from behind to beat Shenzhen Ruby 3-2 thanks to a Liu Jian brace as Changsha Ginde and Jiangsu Shuntian played out a goalless draw.
