Shanghai Shenhua midfielder Mark Milligan will undergo a second scan to detect the extent of a knee injury. The 24-year old sustained the injury in Australia's 3-1 loss to Korea Republic on Saturday but will not know more until another scan, which he will have in Shanghai this Friday.

Seventh-placed in the Chinese Super League, Shanghai takes on league leaders Beijing Guoan this weekend but it is still unclear if Milligan will take his place in the starting line-up.

Beijing boast one of Milligan's former A-League rivals Joel Griffiths, formerly of the Newcastle Jets.
