Shanghai Greenland move to trump Chelsea for Southampton striker Graziano Pelle

Chelsea face competition from China for Southampton striker Graziano Pelle.

The Daily Star says Shanghai Greenland are hoping to pinch Italian striker Pelle, 30, in front of Premier LeagueChelsea and Everton.

Southampton have made it clear to Pelle they will not offer him a new contract going into the last year of his deal and that should find a new club.

Saints are looking for £20m for the front man after netting 30 times over two seasons for the south coast club.

Pelle was seen as a natural to join as a second striker at Chelsea having played under new manager Antonio Conte for Italy.

Pelle could link up with former Newcastle and Blues ace Demba Ba, Obafemi Martins and Colombia international Fredy Guarin at the Chinese side.
