Shandong Luneng coach Ivankovic out to shoot down Sanfrecce Hiroshima

Shandong Luneng coach Branko Ivankovic is planning to go all out to get a win when they take on J-League club Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the Asian Champions League tonight.

The Chinese Super League club currently sit at the foot of Group H but only on goal difference from Sanfrecce and a win tonight will keep them in the race to progress to the Round of 16.

"It goes without saying that both sides will turn out offence-minded in the match," said Ivankovic.

"We and our rivals are both aware that it will be a live-or-die meeting and will focus on attack.

"I believe it will be a thrilling match and Shandong will fight for our fans on home soil."

With Shandong failing to grab a point in two home matches so far, Ivankovic was hopeful that his side could make the most of it at the Shandong Sports Centre.

"We should make most of the home advantage," he added.

"More importantly, the game is a good chance for us to save our blushes.

"Though the chances of making the knockout stage are very slim, we shouldn't give up. After all, a victory could possibly rekindle our hopes."
