Shakhtar turn down €34m offer from Chelsea for Willian

Shakhtar Donetsk manager Mircea Lucescu has revealed that the club have turned down a bid of €34million from Chelsea for Willian.

The Blues have been keen on the Brazilian playmaker for a while now but it appears as though they will have to up the ante if they want to clinch his signature away from the Ukrainian club.

"I told Willian he can leave, but only if the right offer is made," Lucescu told Dolce Sport.

"He's a great player. Willian was the biggest investment Shakhtar have made in a young player, we have to respect that. He played only seven or eight games in Brazil.

"They (Chelsea) paid a lot of money for (Eden) Hazard but are not willing to pay for Willian, even though he's better in my opinion.

"Chelsea want to buy the Brazilian but made an offer for the eastern European market. They offered €34million but we don't think that's his current value."
