Shakhtar Donetsk boss Mircea Lucescu is in the dark over claims of Alex Teixeira being sold to a Chinese club.

Liverpool were knocked back when they tried to sign the Brazilian from Shakhtar Donetsk last month, and Calciomercato.com say he could be about to swap Ukraine for China.

Jiangsu Suning and Guangzhou Evergrande are both said to be preparing €50million bids for the striker.

However, Shakhtar boss Mircea Lucescu has denied the reports, saying: "We haven't sold Alex Teixeira.

"I am not aware of any negotiations with Chinese clubs -- they are just the usual rumours which do the rounds during the transfer periods.

"The lad's not going anywhere. He's staying with us until the end of the season."
