Shakhtar Donetsk are expected to compete with Dynamo Kiev for Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar.
The London Evening Standard says Dynamo are preparing a formal offer for Kranjcar after sounding Tottenham out about the player late last week.
The Ukrainians want Kranjcar, who has been told he can leave Spurs, but the midfielder might prefer a move to Shakhtar Donetsk, where Croatia team-mates Darijo Srna and Eduardo play. Kranjcar has been holidaying with Srna in the south of France.
Kranjcar was also wanted by German club Wolfsburg but they were put off by the £10million asking price.
