Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater is convinced that caretaker manager Craig Shakespeare could become the permanent replacement of Claudio Ranieri.
Shakespeare has steered the Foxes away from the relegation since taking over the job for the rest of the season in March.
Following a 1-0 win at West Brom on Saturday, the Foxes now sit in the tenth spot with 40 points.
"It's been ups and downs," said Drinkwater. "It's hard to put into words but as long as we can finish the season strongly it will be a lot better."
"If somebody said we'd got to the quarter-finals of the Champions League and finish 10th then a lot of people would have been snapping people's hands off for that."
"We're all behind Shakes if he gets the job, definitely," he said. "We'll definitely have no doubts about getting into the European spots, we just need to push again, hopefully regroup, recruit well and push on again."
