Leicester City player have enjoyed winding up Riyad Mahrez over his deadline day attempt to get a move away.
Foxes boss Craig Shakespeare admitted the fruitless trip has left Mahrez at the mercy of the dressing room jokers.
“I had an idea of where he was but if you are asking me to pinpoint it I wouldn't be able but I would have suggested he was at an airport somewhere," said Shakespeare.
“I did try to call him but it was an international dialling tone and I wasn't quite sure where he was.
“He had permission from the Algerian FA. When they go on international duty they (Algerian FA) have the duty of care.
“In a way I could understand what him and his advisors were doing.
“There has been some banter. He has taken a bit of a ribbing but he will brush it off."
