SFA could ban Rangers' Aluko for diving

Rangers winger Sone Aluko could feel the wrath of the Scottish Football Association following the weekend's 2-1 win over Dunfermline Athletic.

The former Aberdeen man won 'Gers a penalty just prior to the half-hour mark at Ibrox but the incident will certainly come under review and Aluko could have to answer to the Hampden legal team if it is considered to have been a simulated act.

If the SFA find that there is a case, Aluko could be suspended for two league matches, and if he does not accept an initial ban, a further one match could be added but he feels he was in the right.

"When you're at full pace in the box, the pitch is wet, you're twisting and turning, then any contact and it's hard for you to stay on your feet," Aluko said.

"I felt there was contact and then I fell over.

"I'm not one who normally dives. I thought it was a penalty and obviously the ref did as well.

"The players didn't protest either, did they, so I don't see what the issue is. The manager is going to say what he said."
