Seydou Doumbia is excited over his move to AS Roma.
The striker signed last week from CSKA Moscow.
"I am of course delighted to join a club of Roma's standing and to play in such a high-level championship," the 27-year-old revealed.
"Developing alongside players like [Francesco] Totti, [Miralem] Pjanic, Gervinho, [Daniele] De Rossi and having a Coach [Rudi Garcia] who plays a resolutely offensive game will surely allow me to reach the next level.
"I haven't set myself any objectives. I don't think in those terms.
"I want above all else to integrate myself in the group and give my contribution to win matches. My personal success is a secondary matter.
"I'd also like to take the opportunity to say that this transfer was achieved with the help and the support of my personal entourage.
"I'm keen on offering my public thanks to my formative club in Abidjan, the Athletic Adjamé, and their Coach and President, who made me work very hard.
"What I am today is something that I partly owe to them."
