Real Madrid have made contact with Sevilla winger Antonio Puerta.

Real see the 22 year-old as a natural replacement for the departing Roberto Carlos and know he is in talks with Sevilla over a new contract.

Puerta has confirmed the interest of Real and can't rule out leaving Sevilla this summer.

"I know through my agent that there is an offer from Real Madrid," said Puerta. "I know that they're following me. But there is nothing formal at the moment."
