Sevilla midfielder Christian Poulsen insists he never met with Barcelona officials last week.

The Denmark international said: "Last week I was in another hotel with Danish friends.

"If the press says that I could be playing in Barcelona, then that is an honour. But Sevilla is also an excellent club with which I hope to renew my contract.

"These reports are just indiscretions, there is no concrete offer."
