Sevilla striker Fredi Kanoute says he won't be scared off playing for Mali at next year's African Nations Cup, despite last week's amazing attack by Togo fans in their triumphant qualifier.

Kanoute has stitches in his back and revealed: "I was a little scared when the Togo fans invaded the pitch and the police did nothing to prevent it.

"It was the worst experience I've gone through. I've never seen anything like it before.

"After what I suffered in Togo, I want to play in the African Nations Cup. Sevilla know the situation. At least I'll be available for the derby against Betis."
