Denis Suarez felt he moved too soon to Manchester City.
The striker is now starring with Sevilla, where he is playing on-loan from Barcelona.
"David Silva was one of my idols. You can't have regrets, but right after going to City, I was training with the first team and played two Cup matches.
"Honestly, I think I was too young to play in the first team at City. I was 17. Now I am 20 and I see things differently."
Suarez added: "At 17 I was very good but I lacked physically. I could not compete in such a physical league like the English.
"Here (in Spain) you play more football than in England."
