Antonio Alvarez is staying with Sevilla for next season.
Alvarez took over the Andalusian side on an interim basis in March following the sacking of Manolo Jimenez.
Alvarez was initially put in charge until the end of the season but, after leading Sevilla to a top-four finish in La Liga and last week helping them beat Atletico Madrid in the final of the Copa del Rey, it was unanimously agreed by the board to reward him with a one-year contract extension.
The 55-year-old will hold a press conference alongside club president Jose Maria del Nido at 1900 local time this evening at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
