Sevilla signing Guilherme Arana has explained turning down a move to Barcelona.

Arana has signed for Sevilla from Corinthians and will formally move to the LaLiga club over the New Year.

The Brazil international has also been interesting Barca - of which he was aware of.

"Anyone would become anxious if they talk about you in Barcelona, but I'm sure that my choice to join Sevilla is the right one," he told Estadio Deportivo.

"We started the negotiations a few months ago and I have always felt tremendous confidence on their part. I'm sure everything will be fine."
