New Sevilla signing Manu del Moral is thrilled with his first call to the Spain squad.
The 27-year-old forward, who earlier this week joined Sevilla from Getafe, was the big surprise in Vicente del Bosque's squad for the upcoming friendlies with the United States and Venezuela.
"For me it's been a great satisfaction, the happiest day of my life. With this call-up I've fulfilled a dream and I have to thank the national team coach Vicente del Bosque for that," Manu said on the Sevilla website.
"I'm going to try and return that confidence on the pitch.
"I had no idea that the coach was going to call me, I knew that they were going to play two friendlies and I was waiting for the list to know who was going. Before they announced it publicly they called me and it couldn't believe it, I'm very happy.
"This week I've received the two most important pieces of news of my life. On one hand I've signed for a great club like Sevilla and now I've been called up by the national team.
"I have to take all this in before I can appreciate what is happening."
