Toulouse manager Pascal Dupraz has revealed that Wissam Ben Yedder was the subject of interest from Arsenal.

The 25-year-old striker has completed his transfer from Toulouse to Spanish side Sevilla but not before the Gunners showed interest according to Dupraz.

"He could have gone to Arsenal, who are one of the best," Dupraz told Estadio Deportivo.

"But Sevilla are also a big club and I think La Liga is perfect for him, because he is a technical player and very attacking."

Ben Yedder has signed a five-year deal with Sevilla for an undisclosed fee after spending six years with Toulouse.
