Sevilla see Newcastle United midfielder Mikel Merino as a replacement for Ever Banega.

Sevilla will move for Merino if Banega completes his proposed move to Arsenal, says the Daily Star.

New Gunners boss Unai Emery has identified the Argentinian as one of his leading midfield targets.

Banega's representatives reportedly held talks with Arsenal officials yesterday.
