Leicester City have failed with an opening bid for Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi.

Leicester have had an £18m bid for N'Zonzi rejected, according to the Sunday Mirror.

N'Zonzi is reportedly keen on a return to England after leaving Stoke at the end of the 2014/15 season.

The 27-year-old helped Sevilla to Europa League glory earlier this month, and has a buy-out clause of £21m.
