Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido says they've rejected a bumper offer for Alvaro Negredo.

Sevilla have insisted that they are in no hurry to sell Negredo and they don't need the money, and this is underlined by the rejection of the bid.

"The club does not need to sell any player, not now or in June," said del Nido.

"Alvaro Negredo will not leave the club unless a spectacular proposition arrives.

"In the last few weeks we have rejected an offer of €17million from a club at the top European level."
