Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido insists he's not received news of any Tottenham bid for winger Diego Capel.

A report in Diario de Sevilla claimed Spurs were on the verge of agreeing terms with Capel having met the asking price in his contract.

But del Nido told ABC Sevilla: "After talks with his representatives, I do not have any information about Tottenham being prepared to pay his clause, which is 15.6million euros (£12.3m).

"What I would ask is whether a foreign club could exercise the buy-out clause in Spain?"
