Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido insists coach Manolo Jimenez's job is safe after last night's Champions League exit.

Del Nido saw his Sevilla eliminated by CSKA Moscow at home last night.

"They have been better. They have scored more goals and the goal is king in football. Now they are still in the Champions League," he told AS.

"The team was too stressed after the misfortune of the second goal of the Russians. We were too anxious after that and couldn't come back. That second goal put the Russians in control.

"We know how the fans can be. But only one sector has shouted from the crowd. Jimenez will continue until end of season because he has a contract and because it has our confidence. No debate about it amongst the board of directors."
