Sevilla president Jose Castro has confirmed they're talking with coach Jorge Sampaoli about a new deal.

Sampaoli has seen talk of a move to Barcelona dampen and is now ready to commit himself to a new contract.

Castro confirmed: "We are delighted with him, as every professional has his good times and his less good moments.

"He has trusted us and we have trusted Sampaoli. As for his renewal, without hurry but without pause, we are talking about the future."

On sports director Monchi, he added: "The collective premium is much higher now than individual cases. At the end of the season you will see what happens with Monchi."
